Department of Architecture has only ONE printer that can print only A3/A4 sheets that rarely works. Architecture Students at SETU Waterford spend at least 30 euro on printing for presentations that we do on a weekly basis.
This put financial strain on students with students not having enough money for rent and their other necessities.
In the course of architecture, we print and draw for most design sessions and that’s not possible with the current state of our ONE printer. The printer has been “FIXED” multiple times so we demand that it be replaced and the problem not be brushed under the rug and “FIXED” again.
Other campuses have multiple, newer and working printers like on the main campus cork road and the college street campus even though our students require as much printing if not more than they do.
With the institute becoming a university, the minimum we demand and should have is working and reliable A1-A4 (A1,A2,A3,A4) printers in the Granary Campus, Waterford.
