Hi, i'm a 13 year old girl in 8th grade. In my school we have strict dress codes no shorts 2 fingers above the knee, no shoulders, no collarbones, you cant show your thighs. It mainly goes out to the girls though. I got dress coded today for wearing leggings that covered everything, with a big t-shirt even covering my butt, when my boy cousin wore really short shorts, and he didn't get dress coded. And i'm pretty sure almost every school is like this, but why do I have to cover my body? "Oh because boys cant control themselves." When i walked into school today with leggings no boys were looking they didn't even care, but thats not the point. You're teaching these young brilliant girls to hide there body's and saying "boys will be boys" but when will they grow up and learn how to control themselves instead of little girls hiding there bodies. Why can't you teach boys to not be that way so i can be comfortable in my body in my skin. I believe in modesty but I don't think this is fair.
