You're probably thinking to yourself, "oh this person is just like everyone and doesn't want homework. I don't want homework but not for the same reason as everyone else. Homework was created as a punishment. Also, homework creates stress. In a study done by Stanford, 56% of those tested said that homework was a primary cause of stress. It also can ruin friendships. In some classes, homework is given every night and that homework on top of the homework from other classes starts to pile up until the students are spending all their free time doing homework and can't make time to socialize or do anything they like. homework can also be difficult for those with ADHD. The teacher gives the same amount of homework per student in their class so for a student with no mental issues. it can take 2-3 hours a night. but for someone with ADHD they can't sit still and focus so it takes them twice as long so they stay up later get less sleep which means falling asleep in class, then not getting the proper lesson, then not being able to do the homework as fast as everyone else. and it repeats daily. you may think, "if homework is gone then students will have issues with learning curriculum." teachers create lessons around having homework if the lesson has homework. so if there is no homework assigned the lesson is fully taught in class. no pressure on the student to leant via homework. if you want students to have a better chance at enjoying school life and having better everything then make it so there is no homework
