To reject DA0484/21 in its entirety at North Turramurra Recreation Area
Why this petition matters
We, the undersigned residents of Ku-ring-gai, petition Ku-ring-gai Council, the independent assessor and the Ku-ring-gai Local Planning Panel (KLPP) to reject the amendments to DA0484/21 lodged by the Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) for the construction of a 300 spectator grandstand with additional facilities incorporating a café and kitchen, coaches’ rooms, referees’ rooms, change rooms, toilets, first aid room, physio room, AV/media room, corporate box, shared office, small single offices, kitchen/lunch area, board room.
Residents will be directly affected by increased traffic on Bobbin Head Road, increased noise and loss of community green space by the intensification of games that include semi-professional and professional games.
We overwhelmingly oppose the following NSFA flawed and inadequate responses to the KLPP requests for additional information:
❖ The amended Traffic and Parking Report is based on “existing numbers and users”
❖ The Acoustic Report is based on “existing numbers and users”
❖ The Usage Report is based on “existing numbers and users”
❖ The Plan of Management (for North Turramurra Recreation Area) does not allow for a Grandstand or offices
❖ The DA is not consistent with the Plan of Management which states “all future development should maximise the opportunity for passive recreation”
