Miltown Malbay Action Group is opposed to the submission regarding Planning Ref No: P21 1182, Cignal Infrastructure Limited to install an 18 metre telecommunications structure (6 metre monopole extension to an existing 12 metre monopole), together with associated equipment and cabinets enclosed within a 2.4m palisade fence compound.

We strongly object to the planning permission of an imposing telecommunications structure in the heart of our town and community. This proposed structure will be in close proximity to residential housing and to community amenities and will be situated behind the Supervalu adjacent to the Children’s playground and Astroturf pitch. It is also worryingly close to the Spraoi creche, the HSE Health Centre, Miltown Malbay Further Education & Training Centre and Patrick J. Hillery Public Library.

We will be sending the list of signatures to Clare County Council under the group submission and there is no cost involved to sign this petition. However, if you want to submit your own individual objection letter to Clare County Council, the submission date is 13th of December 2021. The submission must be physically signed by you and you must give a full postal address and include the Planning Ref No 211182 on your correspondence. The address is Planning Section, Clare County Council, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare. A fee of €20 applies to Clare County Council for each objection letter and this must be included with your letter either as a money order or, the fee can be paid over the phone by card to the planning authority.
