Lower the writing band on the ielts exam from 7.0 to 6.5. UK needs Filipino nurses

One of the major requirements to begin registration to become a nurse with nmc in the UK is to undertake the ielts exam..
We recognise the importance of testing prospective nurses competence in the English language.
A considerable amount of nurses do not achieve a score of 7 in writing even if the candidate is fluent in English.
Our issue is the requirement to achieve a score of 7 in each band. We are hoping the band score in writing is reduced from 7 to 6.5.
Redicing the band score to 6.5 in writing would significantly improve the chances of Filipino nurses entering the UK. This will reduce the cost the nhs and other trusts pay for agency nurses. Furthermore, a nursing shortage or a nursing crisis can be alleviated.
