The university has no place to mandate anything for students in regards to their health and what each student chooses for themselves. NKU should be solely focused on the academics of their students, and should not be attempting to coerce students into getting a vaccine, because each student has to make that decision for themselves. Any possible vaccine mandate for students would not be focused on the health and well-being of the students, rather, it is an attempt to force NKU’s political and social ideology on the students. As students, we have the right to have our voices heard by the administration and that ultimately NKU cannot mandate vaccinations for students, as it is unconstitutional and medical discrimination. The university should be held accountable by its students, and if we do not let them know our stance they will continue to push their agenda without fear or hesitation. This petition is not against vaccines in general, it is simply against the tyrannical overreach of school faculty that should not be allowed to make students get vaccinated or face penalties.
