The North Kingstown School Department has recently told parents they need to commit to choosing distance learning or in person learning in the coming weeks. There is limited information available for parents and students to make this choice properly. In addition, there are still many members of the public wishing to have a dialogue with the school department and school committee about the details of these plan respectively. The school committee is currently holding an Executive session meeting on Aug 11th. Due to the mass uncertainty, we are under the belief the committee needs to hold an Open Forum dialogue at this August 11th meeting. Sign this petition to tell the NKSC to hold such and Open Forum on August 11th to give North Kingstown residents a chance to have a dialogue with the committee about our reopening plan.
