I was a SLEOII for 6 years in New Jersey and had to move out of state to become a Police Officer. I would hate to see NJ loose many good officers because of certain restrictions.

These guys deserve to be treated fairly by the State Of NJ . The laws are out dated and out lived their usefulness Times have surely changed and so should the laws. Their training has elevated to the same as regulars. If there was elevated the laws in NJ should also to meet their training standards . As resending back them back to the academy for for another 27 weeks is an awful waste of money & resources for our already strapped cities & state

the laws in this state for SLEO II are stone aged. same training, same hiring process, same everything else. But throw a stupid patch on the shoulder or somewhere and get disrespected by the full timers, it gets old after a while. this state makes it impossible enough to get any LEO position whether its paid or unpaid, we all bleed the same, why can't we all be treated the same
