I am opposed to this project. It is a political ploy to repay Brandywine. The taxpayers and residents should not be made liable for a long term debt that benefits only Brandywine.

Stop this absurd gift to Brandywine / AKA friends of our politicians?

1) If rent is to be paid, rent payment should only start - logically - after a Certificate of Occupancy has been given for any spaces to be rented.

2) Among other things, any mention of interest rates in these contracts should be expunged.

this is a slap in the face to all jersey city residents and business owners that will have to absorb the higher tax rates to pay for such, the fact that nothing should be paid before occupancy is permitted, the fact that it will be much cheaper to purchase such, the fact that moody's just upgraded our status and thus the argument that the lease option is better for our rating is bull, etc.... STOP PLACATING THOSE WHO "BRIBE" OUR POLITICIANS WITH "DONATIONS". elected officials are SUPPOSED to represent the constituents that voted them into office and not the corporations that dump money into their reelection coffers. their job is to work for us, not work to stay in office while screwing us over.

I think the annex is a good thing and sorely needed, but how it is being built needs to be rethought as to the best way to get build it without causing hardship to taxpayers.

This is a sweet deal for HUB, Brandywine Financial/Jersey City Municipal, LLC, and a horrid deal for us, the residents and taxpayers, as well as several City administrations to come. We are told that the Developers have every interest in making this a success. Perhaps they do, but their track record with the HUB shows that they may not have the capability to do so.

More troubling, where are the other bids? Where are the independent analyses of market rates, financing options, architect's plans, client usage and neighborhood impact? The whole deal is the opposite of transparency; it is downright murky.

This project is a pay off to Brandywine who mismanaged the HUB as its real estate company. They deliberately evicted minority owned businesses from the HUB after giving them month to month leases and did not renew leases of other businesses. EXTRA supermarket I am told has a twenty year lease and could not be evicted. If such an expenditure is approved, the facility should be erected adjacent to the current city hall downtown.
