NJ hospital patients should be never denied a visitor or guardian

At this point, I am not asking for donations, only signatures. Thank you and stay tuned for updates.
Imagine having a family member in the hospital, when you call or visit you find that no visitors are allowed and you count on cryptic updates from a short staffed team. Wonderful individuals, but no one knows exactly what is happening to your loved one. This is the state of hospitals in NJ today. This petition will be used to let officials know we demand to never be denied to visit family as an immediate family member or advocate of care.
Our own family has had too many situations in the last few months where a family member was denied a visit by an immediate family member or advocate. Take action now and sign and share this petition before it’s you or a loved one denied a visitor, support and an advocate.
This far into the pandemic, it’s time for hospital policymakers to stop denying visitors regardless of age and regardless of condition. Patients need advocates and support. Not only is loneliness an issue, patients under care often need the help of a family member to translate what doctors say. Please sign this petition, and we will use the power of numbers in this petition to make sure NJ hospital and NJ health officials move away from denying visitors.
We urge you to also contact leaders of hospitals and health agencies to tell them we will not tolerate lack of transparency.
