Dear Fellow New Jerseyans,

We cannot deny that systemic racism exists and divides this country. We cannot deny that although black and brown members of our society are directly impacted by racial injustice, racism effects all Americans.  As we approach a precipice of a social justice transformation in this country, we must ensure that we do all we can to create sustainable equitable change that ensures the civil and human rights of all Americans.  Healing is the process of restoration and must be the starting point to truly improve race relations and transformation. 

On behalf of AVANZAR, we are offering you the opportunity to join us in petitioning our current governor to declare a yearly state wide National Day of Racial Healing on the third Tuesday of January, in solidarity with the W.K.
