Why this petition matters

Started by Breanne Buccos

My name is Breanne Buccos. I work in a local grocery store as a Shop From Home shopper. We're the workers who make online grocery shopping, curbside pick up, and home delivery possible. We are in the crowds every day. I have just been diagnosed with Covid, as many of my co-workers have. Weekly, I see my co-workers "disappear". I only go to work, and come home; i have done that since April of 2020. WITH THE NEW, MORE CONTAGEOUS STRAIN NOW IN OUR STATE, I feel there needs to be customer limits in the stores, and zero-tolerance for no masks (no mask/no entry) there is no social distancing in the stores, because unlimited amounts of people are allowed in the stores, putting the employees at great risk. my store has been crowded, daily, since November of 2020. I am deeply concerned for my fellow workers, and my work place contributing to the spread of Covid-19, and the new varient/s. I cannot fight this alone. I have contacted my union for help, and they told me that orders have to come from our Governor. with our state's restaurants, and other non-essential business, soon to be opening to higher capacities, we need to act! Please help.
