Mason’s story starts with a horrible accident in 2008 when he was in a house fire that burned 90% of his body. Mason requires extensive medical treatment including many surgeries and skin grafts. As of today, Mason and his father have traveled to Boston for surgeries over 130 times. Each time he returns from Surgery, the wound care that is needed requires professional nursing.
After an evaluation in August 2018, NJ Department of Human Services made a decision that Mason does not meet the requirements for nursing care. Mason struggles with daily tasks, especially after each and every surgery.
Help our Family to overturn this decision so Mason can get the care that he not only needs but deserves.
