Gurukul in Jharkhand built and set up in 1919 is being demolished. It has been demolished in fraction - about half - by now. The people have been taking care of the Gurukul out of their personal funds and efforts for long years. During recent years, around 45 lakh rupees have been spent on renovation and maintenance of the Gurukul.
Ancient Vedic education, morality education and education on civilisation is imparted to students and Brahamcharis there at the Gurukul, along with CBSE pattern education. Earlier, education and teaching up to 10th class was undertaken, but now it's shrunk down to 8th class.
The Gurukul is being demolished to expand an airport. Earlier some St. Xavier School was in desired land for acquisition, but that was saved quickly and easily and the Gurukul was made a scapegoat in lieu of that. This act is exactly the same what was done by the Britishers when they tried to set Mackalay education system up in Bharat: They demolished gurukuls and destroyed gurukul shiksha vyavastha and installed Mackalay system of education, which has classes 1, 2, 3, ... .
The demolition of the Gurukul is due to finish on 12-October.
It is our and your moral duty to save the Gurukul from demolition and renovate and maintain it in the following respects:
a. The importance of and need for Vedic education and moral education cannot be denied.
b. The Gurukul is one of the historical heritages.
c. Students are currently studying there. It's inhumane to demolish their house of education and future. Do we want to make criminals and angry citizens out of them?
By now none of BJP saansad, PMO and RSS have taken any concrete steps to save and enhance the Gurukul.
Kindly cancel its pending demolition and improve its infrastructure and facilities as directed by its caretakers and people (Janata).
