I am from small town in Meghalaya called Tura. For the past few weeks I have been going to bank for my parents work or mine. Their have been always long queues for entering the bank premises. It is hard especially during this pandemic. I have seen that people from nearby villages, illiterate senior citizens and all sorts of people coming to the bank. 

One day I had to meet the Branch Manager and he was not there in his office but rather he was at his living quarters. So I had to come back home and go again the other day. During these pasts weeks I noticed that he hardly seats in his office. We had to stand in a long queue, under the hot sun, outside the bank premises to maintain social distancing and once we enter the bank, some of the staffs were not present. My mom also came and stood in the queue for an hour and the staff who accepts the application was absen There are only 3 windows working, service manager, branch manager and one or two staffs taking care of loans, yono, etc.

The branch my account was registered have lots of customers and there are only 3 single windows? On top of that many senior citizens and illiterate who have limited banking knowledge get shouted at for not knowing simple things. How do the staff expects us to know everything? They could've explained how things work. Instead they starts shouting. No one can ask a single doubt, else they get scolded for asking or not knowing.

So I request you to please sign this petition as the public sector staffs treat the customers as NUISANCE.
