With the new Nintendo Online service that now comes with a monthly subscription fee, it is unacceptable that Nintendo servers have so much lag. Myself and many others paid the full $80+ for Smash Ultimate plus the additional cost for Nintendo online, and we deserve an online system from this decade.

The matchmaking system is also horribly designed. Finding a 1v1 should be simple and easy, but instead you are constantly forced into other battle modes that you don't want to play and worse yet, are punished for leaving these game modes that you didn't want to play in the first place.

For a company that has been making games longer than anyone, the fact that they cannot grasp how to create a stable system for online play that has been in use for 20+ years is beyond embarrassing.
