Shadowrun for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System was an amazing video game that was beloved by many fans of the Shadowrun table top RPG. I myself spent many hours of my childhood completely immersed in this game. Nintendo has the ability to include a port of this game on the Nintendo Switch Online collection of Super Nintendo titles, though they may need permission to do so by the company that owns the rights to the original game. This petition calls on Nintendo to do what they must in order to include this game on Nintendo Switch Online. Copies of this game for the Super Nintendo have become difficult to find, and tend to be rather expensive. There are emulators that can be used to play the game, though they take away the joy of playing the game on a console as it was meant to be played. Should Nintendo include a port of the game on Nintendo Switch Online, myself and the fans of the original game would once again be able to enjoy it as we did long ago. In addition, those who have never played the game before would be able to share in the enjoyment that we have felt. I believe that great games such as this one should be experienced by all who share a love of video games, and should be kept alive for future generations of gamers to appreciate. Should Nintendo fail to address this petition and Shadowrun remain excluded from Nintendo Switch online, it is likely that many fans of the original game would be unable to play it again, and those who have not played it would never be able to appreciate as we do, dooming the game to be forgotten as the years go by.
