Nintendogs is a beloved game with no hope of coming to the Switch. The original game, made for the DS, used a touch based interface and hardly used any buttons.  Although the switch offers touch support, the main gimmick involved the microphone which allowed you to call your pets and teach them tricks. The Switch, Unfortunately, has no built in microphone and therefore, a major aspect of the game is lost. However, this franchise would transfer quite beautifully to mobile devices. This game allows players to take care of Virtual dogs (and cats) in a manner that is entertaining and feels genuine. It is a huge upside for people who are unable to have pets because of their financial situation, allergies, or housing and rental agreements. Although there are many pet sims out there, none compare to Nintendogs.
