We need to change the maker point system because the current system is a system that discourages the creation of levels which defeats the whole point of Super Mario Maker 2. A system that discourages you from making levels is not a good system. No level should punish a maker for being uploaded no matter how good or bad that level is.

Everyone deserves to gain maker points no matter how big or small that quantity of points is. We need a new system; a system that will not allow for negative maker points. This could simply be keeping the same system while making it so levels never go negative or a full rework.

A change to the maker points system that removes the loss of maker points would allow us as a community to promote the creation of levels more. The system would not make us makers feel bad but rather encouraged to keep making more levels.

This would promote more popular and well known makers to keep creating as well as promoting less popular makers to be able to grow in popularity and compete with other more popular makers too.
