Pokémon Karaokémon: Petition for a "Pokémon: 2.B.A. Master" Karaoke Soundtrack
Since the Pokémon: 2.B.A. Master soundtrack came out on June 29, 1999, I have been absolutely in love with it. To this day, I still consider "Double Trouble (Team Rocket)," one of the thirteen tracks of the soundtrack, to be my favorite song. However, I have often wondered over the years how amazing it would be if a karaoke version of the soundtrack were to be released in a physical or digital media.
I know that there is technology in place to remove vocals from songs using sound editing software, but more often than not, this technology can mask but not completely eliminate the vocal tracks of many of these songs.
While I consider the odds of having a digital karaoke production of the soundtrack slim due to the supply and demand principles, for those that are fans of the English dub of the Pokémon series, I figured it was worth an effort to see how much of a demand there would be to have such a product produced in a digital media, at least.
I would factor that the cause of a digital karaoke version of the soundtrack being lower due to the reduced cost of production versus pressing physical discs, but I am also aware that some additional costs could come the various rights that would necessary to have a karaoke album produced. Furthermore, I do not know who would be the best point of contact regarding trying to get a soundtrack (e.g., Nintendo, 4Licensing Corporation, Entertainment One Music, etc.).
Nonetheless, a common saying is as follows:
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"
This petition is that first step.
- 4licensing corporation
- Entertainment One Music
- John Loeffler
- John Siegler
- Louis Cortelezzi
- Veronica Taylor
- Rachael Lillis
- Eric Stuart
- Curtis King
- Sharon Bryant
- Russell Velázquez

On September 8, 1998, the English dub of "Pocket Monsters" (known internationally as Pokémon) was first broadcasted in the United States, and since that time, there have been a few soundtracks that have been produced. The first soundtrack that was produced for the international market, "Pokémon: 2.B.A. Master," was released on June 29, 1998.
For those that have grown up listening to the first soundtrack geared towards the international market, I believe it would be amazing and financially beneficial to Nintendo, 4Licensing Corporation, Entertainment One Music, and all involved parties if a digital karaoke version of the soundtrack was produced and released on digital storefronts.
Since the cost of production and distribution would be lower versus producing physical media, after the costs were factored in to cover any overhead regarding the project, a karaoke version of this soundtrack should, theoretically, benefit all of the parties involved (from the producers and distributors to the parties that would be purchasing the digital media).
This petition is aimed to see if there is enough of a demand for a karaoke version of the "Pokémon: 2.B.A. Master" soundtrack to be produced and sold digitally. If enough signatures are collected for this campaign, I encourage the decision makers of the appropriate parties to see if this would warrant investigation as to whether this project would be in the best financial interest for those that would be involved and for the fans of this particular soundtrack.
Thank you very much for your time and cooperation.
