We would like to petition for our suburb to be classified as regional. Especially since our suburb doesn’t provide us with simple amenities such as gas, mains water, sewage and public transport. Our postal system requires us to have P.O. BOXES, which requires us to get our mail delivered at the local general store. We only have a 1200 persons population and our local amenities include a general store, stock and fees, bakery and a pub. Our primary school is at risk of being closed down due to small intake of numbers. We don’t have a secondary school in our suburb. We are also in the green wedge and are not a developed suburb. Most of our businesses and income that is produced for the town is sourced locally! We should definitely be classified as regional! All of our venues and small amount of businesses have employed mostly locals and deserve to work! This is been a country town and always will be!
