Ask Nike to remove anti-Muslim bits from their new ad.
Why this petition matters
Nike, one of the world's biggest sportswear companies has released a new advert called "You Can't Stop Us".
This ad has already received over 39 Million views on YouTube alone (as of 3rd August 2020).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WA4dDs0T7sM
Whilst the overall theme of the advert is to make a positive change in sports, they have deliberately and maliciously tried to insult Muslims by having a lady wearing a niqaab skateboarding into a split-screen whereby she transforms into a man skateboarding with a rainbow flag coloured flares.
The voiceover says "If we don't fit the sport, we'll change the sport".
(You can view this at 0:28 to 0:32 in the YouTube clip listed above).
This is nothing other than a blatant slap in the face of the 1.8 Billion Muslims in the world peacefully following the religion of Allah (SWT).
This ad suggests that for Muslims to advance and not be seen as being backwards, we should abandon the Quran, the Hadith, the Sunnah, modesty and family values and instead embrace 'modern' values, like homosexuality, even if they are against Islamic teachings.
We respectfully ask Nike to edit this ad immediately and remove the offending clip which is not only in extremely bad taste but seems to have been filmed specifically to disparage Islam.
It totally beggars belief that a multi-national company like Nike can be so insensitive and release such an offensive ad.
