Donu Kogbara, an internationally acclaimed journalist who writes a weekly column for a Nigerian newspaper and runs her own PR firm was kidnapped by unknown gunmen from her house in Port-Harcourt on the morning of Sunday August 30th. She was a prominent voice of support for the current President during his campaign especially in the oil producing area of the country which was staunchly in favor of the Ex-President, Jonathan who was from that area. She broke away from Nigeria's inherent ethnic biases to support a Muslim Northerner. She received threats during the electioneering but everyone believed with the elections over things will settle down, instead this happens. We need the Nigerian Government to act to free one of its loyal supporters.
