During the advertisement of the National Association of Building Students (NAOBS) National Body 15th Student Conference/AGM 2021 held at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, 12 CPD units were advertised in the distributed flyers to encourage students of the association to register.

Despite the economic hardship and the compulsory and mandatory expense of our respective school works, we strive to pay for the conference which was formerly #5000 but was increased to #6,500 in a bid to acquire 12 CPD units in preparation towards our professional development as required by our parent body Nigeria Institute of Building (NIOB). But to our utmost surprise, 6 CPD units were written on the certificates given to the students that registered for the conference instead of the 12 CPD units advertised.

Aside our disappointment in this fraudulent scheme, we the students of the association especially those from the Southwest region come together as one voice to request for the restoration of our rightful 12 CPD units and we also demand that the perpetrators of this heinous act be punished so as to discourage such immoral, unethical and fraudulent act in future. Like the saying, 'we are the leaders of tomorrow', therefore we pray our parent body NIOB not to condone this distasteful act.
