It is not a choice to be straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or queer. It's not about your religion or what beliefs you may have but about human life. Everyday people end their lives because of the agony of going through it with everyone around you rejecting you because they were conditioned to do so for something that is out of our control. If you do believe in a God/Allah or any other name, whichever or whomever and even if you don't believe, do you really think that he/she/they will create people wrongly. We were born queer and there is nothing anyone can do to change that, you can try to pray it away but it never goes away. All we want I tolerance, peace, equality and freedom, we want our government to see us, we want our people to see us for who we truly are. We can not hide or pretend anymore, we don't want to create future broken homes, disappoint anyone, become absentee husbands and wives or end our lives for any reason. We just want to love and be loved, same sex or queer sex love is one that has been around forever, it is nothing new no matter what society has made you believe. We have always existed and will continue to exist. As African people, this was our culture first, gender, sex and sexuality never mattered so don't let anyone tell you that it is a western practice because queer have always existed everywhere.

Laws need to be made prohibiting, preventing and possibly punishing discrimination, prejudice and violence against LGBTQ+ individuals. Laws need to be change allowing LGBTQ+ people to lead a full and happy life with those they love and eventually get married.

We beg to not be discriminated against for who we love, we are asking that you see our point of view and that we create this discourse. We want love, peace, tolerance and hope for the future.
