During COVID 19 many private out of school clubs have had to close due to the closure of schools.  Whilst nurseries and schools still receive funding sadly we do not or ever have. Staff cannot be furloughed with 80% of their salaries as companies have no money coming in from parents to pay out, so sadly have to us let go. Where is the government support for us!?   We feel we are a forgotten sector when it comes to the important role we play in supporting children, and some with additional support needs.  Why!?? When we all have to undertake the same training/qualifications as nurseries to meet the needs and care of the children and also the requirements of our SSSC registration.  We would like to be looked upon as equals to nurseries and the education sector and to receive the same financial support to enable our services to be maintained after all when schools go back who do parents rely on for after school care!?
