Declare 23rd of August National Wallace day

Declare 23rd of August National Wallace day

Scotlands history and culture is known around the world so much so that its one of the main reasons for visitors to travel to our fair land and of all our history nothing is more known than Sir William Wallace
Sir William Wallace is Scotland national patriot yet there is no official day to celebrate this great hero like many before us we want that to change and an official day noted as Wallace day
We advocate that the 23rd of August of each year officially be declared as WALLACE DAY in honour of the deeds and acts of William Wallace
The 23rd of August 1305 was the day of Wallace’s death by execution at Smithfield London at the orders of King Edward I
We call on the First minister of Scotland and cabinet ministers for Tourism, Culture and Economy to address this and declare The 23rd of August as Wallace day
