Avatar: The Last Airbender was a cartoon that aired on Nickelodeon from 2005-2008. The show gained quite the fan base, due to it's great storytelling, world building, and lovable characters. Four years after the show's finale, a sequel was made in the form of Legend of Korra. It lasted four seasons and ended in 2014. Many people were left longing for more Avatar content. This petition is here to satisfy that longing.
There have been some Avatar games released in the past, however none have been really great. But there is one thing Nickelodeon isn't seeing that could make them a fortune.
A story-driven Avatar: The Last Airbender based MMORPG.
If Nickelodeon teamed up with a game development company to make a subscription based ATLA MMO then not only would they make a lot of money, but the fans would be satisfied. You may ask "Why an MMORPG?" The answer is simple. The Avatar world is very well built and complex. It would be awesome to explore it in the form of a video game. An example of an awesome world successfully transformed into a video game would be Star Wars: The Old Republic. Not only that, but if they brought back the old writers then the game could have a brilliant story. Graphics don't matter either, as many MMOs, such as World of Warcraft are still very successful despite outdated graphics.
This could also be a great chance to explain and explore different parts of the show's lore. They could do what Star Wars: The Old Republic did and place it far in the past. For example, it could be set during the time of Avatar Kyoshi.
In conclusion, an Avatar: The Last Airbender MMO would make sense financially for Nickelodeon. It would bring in great numbers, considering Avatar already has a huge fanbase, and it would give the fans a chance to enjoy more Avatar related content.
