When Blue's Clues aired in 1996 it became the highest-rated show for preschoolers on American commercial television and it has been called "one of the most critically acclaimed, and groundbreaking preschool television series of all time." Today its stands as a piece of nostalgia and has been labeled as one of the most educational and enjoyable shows for preschools and children up to age 6.

With the reboot Blue's Clue's and You on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr, with the same intend, the original series deserves to be on DVD and Blu-ray. I has had DVDs with certain episodes but the original series has never been in a complete boxed collection.

The show  incorporated American Sign Language (ASL), with the use of hand motions to help viewers follow along with the showed its effectiveness as a learning tool. Testing showed that the attention and comprehension of young viewers increased with each repeat viewing. As well as, art, mathematics,critical thinking, memory, logic, humor, and organization.

During this time, we have  a shortage of educational programming for young people, and this is one of the greatest children's educational television shows and right now we need to increase educational programming.
