I believe strongly that all voices should be heard. Just because my direct university is not strict with censorship there are other universities that stifle the ability for all voices on a college campus or high school to be heard. I will work with others to help protect students' ability to speak up.

We cannot expect student to magically know the their civic rights and responsibilities upon graduation if we do not give them a voice with which to practice prior to that date. That *is* the purpose of school! This bill will allow an authentic learning experience for students. The only reason to thwart this bill is fear of that which the students might say. But, as FDR famously stated, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Allow students to learn! Our country will be better for it.

I believe every student should have a voice and should never be put down for any unnecessary foolishness. I hope this petition goes through so they can know we are her and we need these changes to be done.

Students have a voice and need to be heard. PSU is a responsible organization that I have supported since its inception. How can we expect students to grow up and participate in our government when we don't give them the opportunity to practice their voice -- even when we disagree with it?
