John Mills started this petition to NHS and

There has been a massive U-Turn on allowing people to attend Club level Motor Racing Events this week. We had been led to believe that we would be allowed back in to spectate from the 17th April, this has suddenly changed and now it will be late May before we can attend.

The people who have made this decision clearly have no understanding of the geography of a motor racing venue. They probably think we sit cheek by jowl in grandstands. The truth however is much different. They are usually around 200 acres of Parkland where up to 4000 people have previously, during the Covid Pandemic been allowed to attend. We usually sit in our cars or by them and enjoy the racing and fresh air. We cause no trouble and at the end of the day we mostly take home lovely memories and our rubbish! Plus the added benefit to our mental wellbeing.

However from the 12th April, we are allowed to enter overcrowded gyms, beer gardens and shops, zoos and theme parks, and play golf and tennis but not attend a club level motor race.

I aim to get the UK Government to see sense and allow us to attend these events immediately.

Please consider supporting my petition. Thank you for taking the time to read.
