We seek to:

1) Distanced learning until the end of semester.
On the grounds of:

• Coming back from winter break, many desks were unfilled due to the increase in COVID cases. Absences only grew as the week went by, some classes reached having 15 people missing. 
• Those staying at home are at a disadvantage, with no teachers to guide them through new material.
• The Omicron variant is very transmissible, leading to the exponential growth of COVID cases.
• The reason we haven't shut down? Symptoms aren’t ‘severe’ yet. 
  We shouldn’t wait for the severity to rise.
• The Article 25 of the Declaration of Human Rights states that,”Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family…” 

2) Move Semesta Fiesta to a later date. (An event where high schools students’ clubs sell food to other students on the Quad.) 

P.S. We are aware it fundraises money for important activities. 

On the grounds of: 

• It keeps students on campus for longer than necessary. 
• Large groups of students with their masks off since people will be eating (despite being outside, COVID can still spread).
• Clubs make homemade food to sell & distribute it to many people. (No precaution outlines for making food.)
