The new scheme of one pair of glasses by NHS is really not a good idea. There are young children and vulnerable adults that need prescribed eye glasses. They should be able to have a spare glasses at all times for when one is broken, lost or stolen. By restricting prescribed glasses to one pair will only mean patients will not be able to function well should there be any damages to the glasses  they’re using until it’s replaced. 

My 8 year old son had his one pair broken and he had to be put in front of the classroom to work at the school whilst Specsavers repairs his glasses. Even despite the fact that he was placed at the front of the class, he still found it difficult to see the board very well and clearly.
