It is time to make a change.

Often people who commit suicide are suffering mental health problems, whether this be stress, a worry, or something they want to get off their mind but they feel like they can’t. Suicides resulted in 828,000 global deaths in 2015, an increase from 712,000 deaths in 1990. This makes suicide the 10th leading cause of death worldwide. Close to 1.5% of people die by suicide. In a year this is roughly 12 per 100,000 people. We need to make a change urgently.

Mental health problems are suffered by many people but they often choose not to speak up about it as they think it may “bring others down” or they just may not have the courage to. Signing this petition will increase the attention brought to Mental Health. People who are suffering in their head should be able to feel like they can express them selves and their thoughts to people with out being judged, and feeling like they can trust the person they are speaking to. Even if they are speaking to someone over the phone via text message or a phone call, a simple thing such as that can make someone feel a whole lot better.

There needs to be more FREE services which people can use on their mobile phones, such as a live chat or a text service, because if nothing changes soon things will only get worse. No one knows what anyone is going through and it’s about time something changed.

By signing this petition you agree that there should be more FREE services people can use on their mobile phones where they can chat to people who are experienced in speaking with Mental Health issues.
