Ban plastic cups in NHS Hospitals, UK

Use of plastic cups/glasses for boiling hot drinks should be stopped in NHS hospitals.

The plastic cup is made out of BPA, so when a hot drink is poured into it then the chemical turns hot as well.

The amount of dangerous bisphenol A (BPA) that leaches from plastic bottles into the drinks they contain is most dependent on the liquid‘s temperature, according to new research. When both new and used polycarbonate drinking bottles were exposed to boiling hot water, BPA was released 55 times more rapidly.

This chemical release can lead to obesity and major health problems like CANCER. If there is excessive exposure of BPA in case of a pregnant woman, then it can be really harmful to the development of the child. It harms the unborn baby in the worst way.
