For as long as I can remember I have suffered from debilitating migraines. Raising two children as a single parent, while still working is incredibly difficult when you suffer from Migraines. During my working life I have had very little time off sick, instead I have battled on with severe pain often vomiting on the way to work, at work then on my way home from work. Doing whatever I can to ease the pain, whether it be wearing sunglasses to help ease the throbbing pain behind my eyes to eating bags of sweets to ease the nausea, this is in addition to taking as many painkillers as the recommended dose allows. Migraines can be debilitating and can render a sufferer incapacitated for days, only being able to do what is absolutely necessary. Over the years I have sought help from regular painkillers as well as most of the Triptans. I have tried many different diets claiming to help ease them, had my daith pierced twice and gone through vitamins and anything herbal. I have been hospitalised twice, having a CT scan and two lumbar punctures, as well as seeing a migraine specialist. Nothing was found to be the cause and nothing was advised to cure it. There are too many triggers for different people.
