My name is bobbie-jean
My Baby brother was born with undiagnosed congential heart diseases, sadly this was not picked up In his scans. It was only picked up because he was so small and born early and put in NICU. Sadly my brother will need many surgeries for his survival. His friends and him fight everyday to stay alive.
Every 1 in 100 babies have some form of heart disease. None of which are curable but are 'fixable' to a point of living a normal life. Some like my brothers are pallaitive. All of these babies deserve to be treated before it's too late.
The lack of knowledge on these illnesses is not good. Constantly explanations are needed. By making people aware it could potentially save a baby.
But some babies are not as lucky. It is not clearly told to mums expecting that hospitals are looking for this, nor is it checked for after hospital departure. I want to change that!
I would like NHS to agree to midwives to carry oximeters in home visits. And check within their first few visits.
This could potentially save a baby's precious life. I have my brother, some big sister's dont Please help me take this to the top.
And make NHS ENGLAND agree and also for more information to be produced on these illnesses.
