It's not right that communities should be further disadvantaged to satisfy a Government agenda to take funding away from poor areas. They have the chance to change their minds - NHS England meets to finalise their budgets on 17th December so please show your support and do your bit to make them change their plans!
Leeds is set to lose £84 million
Wakefield is set to lose £43 million
Calderdale is set to lose £25 million
Kirklees is set to lose £46 million
Bradford is set to lose £10 million
Barnsley is set to lose £40 million
Doncaster is set to lose £32 million
Sheffield is set to lose £49 million
Rotherham is set to lose £21 million
West Yorkshire as a whole is set to lose over £210 million or 8.4%. South Yorkshire is set to lose £149 million. North Yorkshire and Humber lose £57 million - almost half of that from Hull.
However most affluent areas, already with higher life expectancy actually gain funding. The Prime Minister's constituency in Oxfordshire will get a 5.8% increase in its budget.
