Allow all sexualities to equally be allowed to donate blood

Before 2011, men who had sex with men were permanently excluded from giving blood.
So currently, homosexuals are not permitted to donate blood if they have participated in sexual activity within 12 months, but heterosexual relationships who participate in sexual activities are not questioned by it (there isn't a rule), meaning that really, this is in fact discrimination against homosexuals.
In 2015 the total number of new STI diagnoses was 434,456 (which can be either men or women). So why is it only gay men who are not being permitted to donate blood? Yet sexually active heterosexual individuals can do so.
THAT IS THE REASON FOR THIS PETITION :) Why don't they test all the blood that is donated for HIV ..which is possible no matter what your sex or sexual orientation is? Not everyone who has a sexually transmitted disease are aware of the fact that they have it..therefore all blood should be tested in the first place.
