Allow children under 12 to use crossbow during any season in NH

With our sport under constant attack, we need to introduce our children to this great outdoor world at the earliest possible age. The current laws only allow a minor the use of a crossbow during gun season, and only for a deer (not a turkey for whatever reason!) This severely limits the amount of time a young Hunter can get into the woods and actually hunt unless they pick up a gun or pull back a compound and aim properly (which most can't!) Many people try to get their 8,9, and even older children to shoot a gun with no success but hand them a crossbow and they do just fine with it. My son, for example, has been grouping better than most adults with a crossbow since he was 6! If we can get our children into this great outdoors and allow them the ability to shoot Deer, turkey or bear with a crossbow not only would it benefit the state if a small tag fee was applied it would allow younger children to spend much more time in the woods with their parents, creating unbreakable bonds, lasting memories and future outdoorsman to fight for our rights. The children would still have to be chaperoned like the current law reads. Please sign this petition and let's bring this forward and get it done!
