Electronic Arts continuously fails to provide a game that is worth $60, let alone one worthy of even being called a football game. Every year they release the same game with minor tweaks, but nothing fixed in terms of glitches, features, or even correct players/coaches/staff/uniforms. The newly released Madden 20 is almost copy and pasted from Madden 19, so much so that there are coaches employed on teams that are no longer there in real life. Players are mismatched and incorrect, so much so that there's even the wrong color skin for certain players. Features continue to be lackluster, poorly made, or just stripped of anything the fanbase has asked for for years. The focus seems to always be on the Ultimate Team, which is completely money driven, so people end up spending way more money than the original price of the game just to enjoy it. This goes hand in hand with why the rest of the game is lacking; their only focus is on earning more money without delivering a product worthy of that sort of spending. Commentators are continuously lacking, continuously incorrect when referring to players (like calling 2nd or 3rd year players "rookies"), and regularly saying things that make absolutely no sense in the context of what's happening, or has happened on screen. The glitches present in the game have been present for years, never been fixed or addressed, and speak to the fact that game is copied and pasted every single year because it's the same bugs every single year. The Madden franchise is the epitome of the cash grab gaming industry, and is known as such throughout. EA continues to push the same product every year, with minimal changes, defrauding people out of their own money while falsely stating that they've made changes every single time. And this isn't only Madden, it's every one of their sports games. It has gotten to a point where it's become a running joke, and the fans sort of just have to deal with it because nobody will do what needs to be done and strip Electronic Arts of the NFL license so a developer/publisher can give it the treatment it deserves. If the NFL truly cares about their image off the field, then they would strip EA of the license so a more deserving company can take the reins and give it the proper treatment the fans deserve. This will not only benefit the fans who have been waiting for years for a better product, but it will help the NFL in many different ways; namely it'll grow their number of fans, and be seen as an organization that cares about the quality of product their name is on. And with that comes even more earnings, loyal fans, and better perception in the gaming community, which has been lacking in competitive demand in its sports genre.

The football community deserves a better game, and the genre as a whole needs a facelift in the form of a better product. We deserve a game that doesn't make us feel stupid every single year for dishing out our hard earned money for a company that could seemingly care less. The benefits of this would be immense, as it would revitalize the genre and bring back fans who dropped Madden years ago because of the continued pattern of poor quality games. The entire situation has gotten out of hand and needs to be addressed before EA releases another copy and paste game that rips off its consumers, because that's all the Madden franchise has become: a complete and utter ripoff.

NFL, the fans of your sport implore you to provide a worthwhile gaming medium that gives the game of football the representation and quality it deserves. Please strip Electronic Arts of its NFL license so a more passionate team can work on a game worthy of our hard earned money.
