The Punt, Pass and Kick program started in 1961. It was a skills competition offered by the National Football League and designed for youths aged 6 to 15.
Effective 2017, the NFL and its affiliates have decided to no longer conduct or be affiliated with the program. The program offered thousands of kids across the nation an opportunity to have a free outlet to the experience of playing football and demonstrate the three skills no matter of their athletic ability.
The program was a great way for schools and other civic and not for profit organizations to get involved and encourage kids in their schools and communities to get active and experience football at no cost to the participants.
By eliminating the program, it takes these opportunities away from these kids and all the future participants.
