Michael Vick deserves to be selected as one of the 2020 Legends NFL Pro Bowl Captains. In 2007,Michael Vick was found guilty of dog fighting and the killing of dogs on his property. He did a crime to dogs that he not only went to jail for but also have shown remorse for owning, participating and engaging in. He understood that what he did was wrong, degrading and unconscionable. He lost millions in endorsements and football money. One of his conditions was for him to never own a dog again.  He served 21 months in federal prison for his crime. While in prison, he developed a relationship with the Humane Society of the United States, one of the nation’s largest animal protection organizations. They allowed Michael to participate in its anti-dogfighting campaign.
He has been an outstanding and productive man since being released from prison and has paid his dues for his wrongness. He deserves to be included and considered for the 2020 NFL Team Captain.
On the field, he was a great QB and has records on both the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles teams. He has played on other teams and was a great leader and role model for the players and coaches.
He has done charity work and has contributed back to his community. He has two foundations, The Vick Foundation and The Michael Vick Foundation.

As fans of forgiveness, we are requesting for the NFL to consider Michael for the 2020 Pro Bowl Team Captain position. We believe that he will be a great contributor and role model to the young and future quarterbacks in the NFL and society. He has the experience and can share his truth of the ups and downfalls of on and off the field activities that can affect your career and can guide them to the right way to be a productive player and person to society and their family.
Mr. Vick is not a menace to society, a rapist, a woman beater or a drug dealer. He is a Christian man, a son, a husband, father, uncle and brother and has paid his debt to society. I believe forgiveness and second chances are due for him. Before going to jail for dog fighting, Mr. Vick was a great team player and leader on every team he has been on and after he was released back from jail, he was allowed to come back and play in the NFL. He has not been in the news for any unlawful activities and still continue to be a positive citizen and role model in his community.
Just like dog lives matter, so do human lives. We should not place one higher than the other. The NFL has owners and players who have done crimes that has been sweeped under the rug, ie women beaters, rapists, prostitution, etc that makes up the NFL. After being punished (if at all) by the NFL, these players/owners were allowed to continue participating in NFL activities, whether on the field or off. It’s been 12 years since Mr. Vick paid his debt to society. It’s been 10 yrs since Mr. Vick was allowed back into the NFL. Mr. Vick retired from football in 2016 with a positive impact with the players and fans.
He has paid his debt to society and should not still be paying the price for a crime he has already paid back to society. He deserves to be picked for the 2020 Legend Pro Bowl Team Captain!!!
