When you think of the Super Bowl, what comes to your mind? You probably think of family, friends, food, and good, old-fashioned American football—and guess what? You’re not alone because does everyone else.

Instead what are we getting from the NFL and Fox? We keep getting virtue signaling celebrities who think it is alright to do or say inappropriate things for children during the Super Bowl Halftime Show. They continue to give us smut that isn’t even appropriate for teenagers to hear or see, and think we should just accept it. If we don’t accept it we are labeled as “racists” or “intolerant”. Pole dancing, “wardrobe malfunctions”, and much of politics (regardless of where you stand) are not appropriate for children no matter what race, color, sexual orientation, culture, or socio-economic background you come from.  

This year it was Shakira and J. Lo, but let’s not forget Adam Levine, Lady Gaga, or especially Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake. No one cares about politics and philosophy during the greatest game night in America. We just want to watch football and have a family-friendly Halftime Show so we don’t have to send our kids out of the room. Can we just keep politics and smut out of the Halftime Show and have fun?
