How can you have an overtime period when only one team gets a chance to possess the ball? The NFL needs to adopt the NCAA overtime rules (with modifications such as starting each possession from the 35 instead of the 25) to avoid having playoff games come down to a coin flip. Not to mention it would eliminate the possibility of a tie at the highest level of professional football, which should be an embarrassment in itself.
