In late November, the NFL announced that Michael Vick had been chosen as one of the 2020 Pro Bowl captains. This decision sent people within the animal community into a frenzy. 

In 2007, Vick found himself on the wrong side of the law due to his involvement in illegal gambling, illegal dog fighting, and his involvement in the brutal torture and killing of countless dogs. Vick was released from the Falcons and sent to prison as a result of his actions. 

Since the incident in 2007 Vick has been a Model citizen and has turned from a Animal abuser to a Animal rights activist. He recently spoke at Liberty University about his past and has been vital component of bringing awareness to animal cruelty.
