Why this petition matters

Started by Tiffanee Mosley

Michael Vick was the No. 1 draft pick out of Virginia Tech and was a star quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. He is most remembered for participating in a dogfighting ring, which he served 18 months in a federal prison. After the completion of his time served, he was reinstated to the NFL in 2009. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles,  New York Jets, and Pittsburgh Steelers  before retiring as a Falcon in 2017. He has worked with Andy Reid's Kansas City Chiefs and is now an NFL analyst with Fox Sports.

Over the years,  Michael Vick has become an animal rights activist,  working with the Humane Society of the United States.  He is influential in the lives of kids so that he can help them avoid going down that same road, while saving their lives and animals.

I can sincerely say that Michael Vick is human like me and you. Meaning, he is not perfect, none of us are and the mistake that he made has made him become a better person. Experience is the best teacher and we all learn from our mistakes. Vick is a true testament of redemption and rehabilitation. The debt is paid and he owes nothing and no one else anything but love. The fact that he was welcomed back to the NFL with open arms shows me that if they can forgive him, so can others. I am behind Michael Vick 100% and if you are...sign this petition  so that he is NOT REMOVED as an honorary Captain of the Pro Bowl
