After Justin Timberlake's mediocre halftime show at last year's Super Bowl, a great act needs to perform in order to provide quality musical entertainment. Maroon 5 is not that act.
Solution
In order to bring in a great act that would boost ratings, the NFL and Pepsi have to drop Maroon 5 as their halftime show entertainment and bring in Nickelback. Nickelback is a band beloved by millions with multiple chart-topping smash hits such as "Rockstar", "Photograph" and "How You Remind Me". They will provide quality entertainment for all ages and bring ratings up as well.
