I was a small wrestler when I started and eventually did make the Olympic team, if this was to be in my time I would not have been able to wrestle and who know where I'd be.

My son has wrestled since he was five years old, he’s a very good wrestler but struggles to find opponents in the lower weight classes. He’s going to be a freshman in high school next year where the smallest weight class is 106, he currently weighs 80 pounds. He’s going to have to wrestle up just to get to 106 and be outmatched because there are no smaller weight classes, he is willing to give up 20 pounds to some wrestlers just to be able to wrestle, it’s ridiculous to think about Eliminating 106.

I have not only one but two wrestlers who will probably be 106 weight class their entire high school career. We are a very petite family and not tall either. This would mean that my wrestlers who have been wrestling since they were 6 would no longer get to wrestle. This is cruel and uncalled for! Leave the weight classes as is!
